It was up & packed early today - we are taking the Tobermory to Manitoulin Island ferry. It is an interesting ferry. I am used to ferries that have either open decks such as those crossing Lake Champlain in NY, or ones that have a large bow door that opens to allow vehicles to drive on. The Chi Cheemaun has a door, but it looks like the entire bow of the ship opens. Quite impressive watching it open from the shore. We loaded onto the ferry (we didn't need reservations, but did show up fairly early) & made the 2 hour ride to Manitoulin Island with no problems.

Ontario Rt 6 continues on the island, and we followed it to CA 17, heading west. We stopped for the night at the Glenview Campground, Site 13 in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario.
