Friday, October 28, 2022:

Another year, another stop on the way to Arizona for the Fall fiberglass rally at Hungry Mother State Park in Virginia. My friends the Guidos & I arrived on Wednesday, and the park is now filled with fiberglass trailers. So far there are Escapes, Scamps, Casitas, Olivers, Bigfoots, Lil Snoozys, and a few stick built as part of the group here in the Burson Campground. There are also a few trailers at the Creekside Campground in another part of the park that couldn't get a space at Burson. This is the largest of the Fall rallies at Hungry Mother that I've been to with around 50 people & 31 trailers. For those interested - 15 Casitas, 2 Scamps, 6 Escapes here at Burson + 1 at Creekside, 2 Olivers, 2 Lil Snoozes, 2 Bigfoots & 1 stick built.

Morning walk around:

A second walk around:

The potluck dinner including Walt's cowboy stew and SUMI salad started around 5:00. Lots of photos:

A bit cool for sitting around once the sun went down, but plenty of food for all.

Saturday, October 29, 2022:

A quiet day here at Hungry Mother. Town was busy with Halloween celebrations, and a group went for a bike ride on the Creeper Trail, an abandoned railroad bed that has been converter to a bike trail.

I did get a few photos:

Sunday, October 30, 2022:

Lots of lolks heading out today. The hosts move in quickly as each RV leaves. They use a mower to blow most of the leaves off the site, then rake the gravel. They also check that the breakers are off. I took a photo of them at work as well as a few of the departing trailers:
