Day 27, Friday, November 14, 2025 - Lake Somerville State Park, Birch Creek Unit, Day 3 - 0 Miles, 1,997.4 Miles for the Trip
Another warm night, only down to 61°F; the electric heater never came on. I discovered 4 more RVs during my morning walk so the park is a bit more crowded. After breakfast I sat & read until 10:30, then headed to the Somerville Style Shop for a haircut & beard trim. It only took 30 minutes to get there so I sat in the truck for a bit, then waited a bit more inside. I'm happy with both the haircut (which is tough to go wrong since it is just getting buzzed with a #3 cutter head) and the beard trip which was a bit more work. $25.00 plus a $5.00 tip.
I stopped at the Brookshire grocery store on my way back to the trailer. A little pricey, and somewhat limited stock, but I did find what I needed.
Back at the trailer I headed to the lousy shower to rinse the hair from my head & neck, then fired up the AC in the trailer (it hit 80°F inside with 77°F outside) then headed out to my folding chair to read.
Dinner was a P. F. Chang's Chicken Lo Mein.
Until Next Time -
