Saturday, December 16, 2017 - La Posa West LTVA, Quartzsite, AZ, Day 27, 0 Miles, 3,740.2 Towing Miles For the Trip

The first day without full sun in awhile. Still enough peaked through the clouds to fully charge the batteries. I went to the Bad Boy Cafe for breakfast, then came back & sat outside and read for much of the morning.

I did get to a couple of projects. First I added 4"X4" blocks to the sand pads on the trailer stabilizers. Not much of a project, but it will save time setting up & taking down the trailer. Next was switching the Kenwood receiver for a Pioneer. Lots of splices. The industry seems to have standardized on wire colors, but not the connectors, so 11 crimp connectors later I have a new radio. It will probably take a day or two to get used to the changes, although many of the settings are similar. As to sensitivity, it is better, but still not up to what I had with the JVC in the 17. I don't remember if I included a photo of the iPhone holder I added next to the bed, so here is one:

Lots of Splices! New Feet iPhone Holder

By the way, the photos are taken with my new iPhone 10. While not up to the quality of the Nikons, it does a great job on photos for the web, and has the advantage that it is almost always in my pocket.

Without the direct sunlight, it was not as warm today, but still pleasent to be outside, at least until dinner time.

While I planned to make chicken Parmesan for dinner, I don't feel like cooking, so I will skip that and do a couple of sandwiches & chips.

Until Tomorrow -
