July 29, 2000 (380 miles)
We spent most of the day driving across Minnesota & crossing into South Dakota near Montevideo, MN. No interesting stops along the way, and late afternoon we stopped at site 28 in the West Whitlock Recreation Area about 18 miles west of Gettysburg, SD. It was a beautiful campground, but a little later that day (it was a Saturday) a group showed up with 10 kids & planted their tents right next to us. It got a little noisy! Still, a beautiful place.
