Day 20, Friday, November 7, 2025, - Bob M. Dearing Natchez State Park, Natchez, MS, Day 2 - 0 Miles, 1594.8 Miles for the Trip
A warm night; the electric heater never came on. 73°F by noon.
I decided to change the sheets & do a couple of loads of laundry. I had the flannel sheets on the bed and they alone are almost a full washer load. I got to the door of the bathrooms & a woman was loading the washer. She is in a truck camper next door, and moved her stuff to the dryer right on time. I started the sheets, then sat around outside reading. I caught a lousy photo of a praying mantis sitting on one of my tires. The iPhone insisted on focusing on the tire, not the insect. I should have dug out the real camera, but didn't.

I started the second load of clothes just after the truck camper owner removed her clothes from the dryer. It is an hour run on the dryer. It must be new since the last time I was here - she said it dried well on one run. My notes from last time I was here said it took two runs to dry. $2.25 to wash or dry.
I was getting a bit of lag using AT&T, so I fired up Verizon. While Verizon showed 40.73Mbps down & 1.62Mbps up, the same lag was present, so I went back to AT&T.
I discovered I left a pen in one of my pockets. In either the wash or dryer it managed to spot about half my stuff. Only one "T" shirt (Dead Horse Point State Park) was destroyed, but small spots on many others. You would think that after all these years of doing clothes I'd check before washing, but...
More sitting outside reading. At 5:00 it is still 73°F outside & with windows open & the MAXX fan running on low, 75°F in the trailer.
Dinner was a cheese brat & the rest of the can of Bush Beans.
Until Tomorrow -
