Sunday, December 8, 2019 - Dead Horse Ranch State Park, Cottonwood, AZ, Day 4 - 0 Miles, 3,661.7 Miles for the Trip

A warm night, with a low of 51°F, although it didn't warm up much during the day. Lots of fog, clouds, and off & on rain. A bunch of the fiberglass rally people managed to get hooked up & out of the park between rain bursts, but I'm staying until tomorrow.

During one of the breaks around 11:30, I headed for the campground showers. Three stalls, all too small, but with a drying room with 3 hooks, a bench, and, while the shower sprays at the drying area, there is a shower curtain & lip that keeps the shower water off the drying room floor. Plenty of hot water with an adjustable shower valve & medium pressure shower head. While the bathrooms are heated, just barely. You don't waste time getting dry. All in all, a solid B.

I spent the afternoon in the trailer reading. Just finished Powder Burn by Carl Hiassen & William D. Montalbano, and started Dispel Illusions by Mark Lawrence.

Dinner was going to be a grilled chicken thigh & asparagus, but with the rain off & on I didn't get out the grill, and decided to bake it in the oven. Of course, for the whole time the oven warmed up & the 45 minutes it cooked, it never rained. Still, it was good!

Until Next Time -
