Friday, September 7, 2018 - Pagosa Riverside Campground, Pagosa Springs, CO, 123.5 Miles, 3,653.9 Miles for the Trip

We had some great skies overnight; I stepped out o the trailer around 9:30 and while there were some clouds over the mountains, most of the sky was clear. Almost no ambient light, so the milky way was visible, and I watched two meteorites streak by in just 10 minutes. I was just a bit too lazy to dig out the camera & tripod (my excuse is the truck lights up on the back, sides, and even the front when you open the doors, and doesn't go out until after 1 minute or two after you close the door, so I didn't want to spoil the night for others.)

I did get a few sunset photos, as well as an interesting building backed by mountains, and the usual campsite photo:

Our Sites

We stopped at a Walmart on the way for some supplies.

We asked for two sites together, and the only ones that had were these back to back sites. They worked well, and we are here for 2 nights. $41.40 per night with Good Sam's discount for electric & water (plus cable) sites. AT&T data is OK (as is the phone), while Verizon is a bit weaker & slower, but both, and the campground WiFi are usable.

We didn't do much other than sit around reading during the afternoon. Dinner was Bubba burgers (turkey since the beef are all gone) with smoked Gouda cheese, coleslaw, some left over pasta & shrimp salad, and watermelon for dessert.

Until Tomorrow -
