The rain we were suppose to get over night never happened. In fact, around midnight it cleared up enough to see the moon. After a walk for coffee & breakfast, I did my usual forum & blog reading, then sat outside for a bit reading a book under cloudy skies.
Around 11:00 I headed for Blythe to pick up a couple of prescriptions. No problem with the one I called in, but one needed a new script. They had a 3 hour wait to pick it up. Since I had the time, I went to the Social Security office to see if I could pick up my 1099 since I won't be home to get it in the mail before I do my taxes. After a 2 hour wait, I found that I can't get it until after February 1st. Since I never got the promised phone call when the prescription was ready, I'll have to go back for it next week. Still no call now at 5:30...
I also stopped at Albertson's for some rolls & other supplies, and couldn't pass up the packaged guacamole they had at the entryway. Of course you need some taco chips to go with that! Before I knew it I had a full basket, although it was only one of the hand carry versions so I could still use the 15 & under line. Strangely enough, there was no one ahead of me with 30 - 40 items! Very unusual.
Back at Quartzsite the sun was out so I did a bit of reading until it was time to head to Sweet Darlene's for the Friday Fish Fry. No longer all you can eat - it is getting too crowded this close to next week's Big Tent Sale. Still a good deal since they give you more pieces than the all you can eat plate.
Now it is back at the trailer. Still close to 70°F so after posting, I may sit outside until dark!
